Kauai's Eastside Beachgoers to Benefit from KLA 2nd Wave
The KLA First Wave Celebration (KLAFW) was extremely successfully in raising funds for the Kauai Lifeguard Association to buy new ATVs and Wave Runners. Fortunately, the storage and maintenance facilities for the lifesaving equipment is well established on Kauai's North and South Shore. However, on Kauai's fast-developing Eastside -- where the new equipment has been especially effective in preventing drownings -- the equipment facilities are inadequate and need to be expanded.
As part of this year's KLA Second Wave campaign and the KLA Ohana of 11 programs and organizations that will benefit from funds raised, will be to provide funds to expand the island’s Eastside facilities for storage, maintenance and operation.
You can learn more about Kauai's Eastside and the KLA from this article on "The Garden Island" and visit KauaiLifeguards.org for information on this year's ocean safety campaign and the KLA Ohana and how you can help save lives.
